SOPA Would Mean the End of Jailbreaking

The Protest has been going around for some time now against SOPA, Stop Online Piracy Act, a bill which was introduced in the US on October 26th, 2011 which if legalized would allow the US government to seek court orders against websites accused of enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. In simpler terms, the freedom of the internet as we know it will no longer exist.

Gizmodo has offered a detailed and easy to understand explanation of how SOPA works if passed:

The beating heart of SOPA is the ability of intellectual property owners (read: movie studios and record labels) to effectively pull the plug on foreign sites against whom they have a copyright claim.
