Google has just released a new update for the Gmail app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The update brings minor updates like the ability to set custom signature for messages as well as set a vacation responder. It also supports nested labels and the usual “bug fixes” and UI improvements.

You can add the new features from the gear icon at the top of the new icon`s menu.

The app also received a new iOS 5 notification sound and the Scribbles feature which allows you to open a canvas, draw a picture or sketch with multiple colours, brush sizes, and styles as well as attach it to a message with Gamil.

In their blog post, Google mentioned that they are continuing to work on some of the most required features by users like multiple login support, banner notifications, and a “send as” feature allowing you to send mail from multiple accounts within the app.
