According to People’s Daily Online, Apple is alleged to selling refurbished iPhones as new, And is now being sued by customers.

Apple stores in Beijing are allegedly selling used iPhones as new ones, as six Beijing consumers raised complaints Wednesday and two filed lawsuits against Apple with the help of a well-known counterfeit goods crusader. Six consumers who recently bought iPhones in Apple stores at Xicheng district’s Xidan Joy City and Chaoyang district’s Sanlitun, and some other authorized dealers, found their phones have a shorter warranty than the normal one year.

Some customers were offered new devices while others said that staff tried to trick them by modifying the warranty date on the device by they refused and demanded new devices.

A Joy City store employee said “It’s impossible that we sold refurbished cellphones."

The customers are demanding compensation at twice the price of the devices and legal fees and also an Apology From Apple.
