I know that many iPhone’s users might have unlocked iPhone 4 with Gevey SIM, I know that some are still having issues in using Gevey SIM, I know that some know how to use Gevey SIM to unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0/4.1/4.2/4.2.1/4.3 with baseband 1.59.00/2.10.04/3.10.01/04.10.01 without jailbreaking the iPhone, I know that some know how to unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 5 Beta 1, and I know that most don’t know how to unlock iOS 5 in Beta 2 because Apple made this method impossible in Beta 2.

This p0st show how to unlock iPhone 4 running iOS 5 beta 2 using GEVEY SIM, just follow the steps and let us know please if successes or not !
But before the steps here are what you need:

  • iOS 5 Beta 2 IPSW: From Here.
  • Latest version of Sn0wbreeze: Here.
  • A GEVEY Ultra SIM card, which you can get from Here.

Now follow the steps

Step 1: Downgrade the iPhone 4 from iOS 5 Beta 2 to iOS 4.3.3.
Notes:
  • Apple is still signing iOS 4.3.3, so restoring from iTunes to 4.3.3 will do the required downgrade.
  • The baseband will downgrade from 4.11.06 to 4.10.01 (don’t worry as it’s required).

Step 2: Create a custom iOS 5 beta 2 firmware without the upgraded baseband using Sn0wbreeze. (All the guides HERE).
Step 3: (called the do not step)
  • Do not activate your phone with Apple.
  • Do not insert your GEVEY SIM.

Step 4: Turn off your phone, insert your GEVEY SIM, and be sure the GEVEY SIM is placed underneath your SIM card.
Step 5: Turn on your phone, booting up, wait for one signal bar to appear, call 112, after two seconds hang up.

Step 6: Access the phone’s settings and turn on Airplane mode, leave it on for 45 seconds and ignore all the “No SIM card installed” errors that might pop up. Once you’ve waited about one minute, it should be safe to turn Airplane mode back off.
